I have a lot of data on my hard drive, but I haven’t backed any of it up.

I have a lot of data on my hard drive, but I haven’t backed any of it up. Backing up on a cloud would cost too much and backing up with an external hard drive means I would have to tote around my hard drive. What is a good solution?

There is no foolproof strategy and you are most likely going to need to purchase cloud space or an extra device to do your backups. Backing up to a server is a fantastic way to take care of your important information. It is best to weigh the costs of external devices and cloud space, but cloud space is going to be your best bet if you will be toting a hard drive everywhere you go. Thumb drives have a lot of space (some have 32 gigs these days). If you don’t think you’ll lose it, split your files among 2 or more of those and label them. Still, thumb drives can malfunction at some time, so it is encouraged to backup to multiple places (such as clouds and thumbs).
