This problem involved a lot of furrowed brows and chin scratching as you opened windows that are usually reserved for developers and programmers, but sometimes that's what it takes to correct Windows 8 problems. Take a rest by carrying out some basic performance improvements.

Call up the Task Manager again, navigate to your Start tab and uncheck programs you don't want starting in the background. This one simple tip can free valuable memory. Next, use the Control Panel to navigate to Control Panel > System and Security > System, at which point you can highlight Advanced Systems Settings and tab over to the Advanced panel. Click on Performance Settings and remove the check marks from unwanted animations.
